Jesse Thomas

Jesse James Thomas, age 31, of Lake Park, MN, died on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at his rural Lake Park home.  A memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Eksjo Lutheran Church in Lake Park, with a time of gathering an hour prior.

Jesse was born on July 3, 1986, the only son of Melanie Thomas, in Columbia, MO. He grew up in Lake Park, where he attended both elementary and high school.  He met his soulmate, Amanda Harding in 2007 and the couple resided in Bemidji, MN, for a short time before returning to Lake Park; there they had two children, Trey and Jaylie.  Jesse’s family meant the world to him and he loved being a dad more than anything.  Jesse was known by most for his work ethic and he worked for Accessories Unlimited in Lake Park.  Jesse also loved fishing and the peace he found spending time in the woods and with nature.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda and their two children, Trey and Jaylie; his mother, Melanie of Lake Park; a sister-in-law, Mindy (Travis) Lura of Carrington, ND, and their children, Taya, Riley, and Brecken; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Duane (Bonnie) Harding of Carrington, ND; three half-brothers, Jeremy Kohler of Detroit Lakes, Billy Kohler of Fergus Falls, and Austin Kohler of Detroit Lakes; and many close friends who were like family.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Deloris Thomas.
