Jo Ellen Anywaush

Jo Ellen Anywaush, 76, from White Earth, MN passed away on November 24, 2021 at Essentia Health St Mary's Detroit Lakes.

Jo Ellen Anywaush was born October 24, 1945 in White Earth, MN to Hazel and Charles Anywaush. She graduated from Waubun High School, Waubun, MN in 1963. After graduation, Jo Ellen attended Northwest School for lab and x-ray technician and graduated in 1966.

Jo Ellen worked in White Earth until 1973. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Central Arizona in Coolidge, Arizona as a board-certified Physician’s Assistant. Jo Ellen worked in Arizona, Montana, and North Dakota before returning home. She started working for the White Earth Reservation and worked 30 years as the Health Director before retiring in 2008.

Jo Ellen loved to hunt and fish. She especially loved going fishing with her friends Bonnie and Ronnie Anderson to Devils Lake in their motorhomes.

She was also an animal lover and had many pets that she treated as her family. She loved watching and feeding the birds and was an avid MN Twins and MN Lynx fan.
