John Housholder

John Jay Housholder was born January 21, 1967 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Richard and Patricia (Graves) Housholder. He was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1985. Following High School, John enrolled at Detroit Lakes Vo-Tech graduating with a diesel mechanic degree in 1987. He started working for R&R Trucking in Audubon as a diesel mechanic. On September 3, 1988, John was united in marriage to Kimberly LeCleir. In 1990, John accepted a position with Sunrise Machine & Tool, where he was currently employed as an operations manager. He played a vital role in expanding the manufacturing portion of the company. John had a passion for enduro racing, and enjoyed motocross riding with his friends and kids for recreation. John loved spending time with his kids. Whether it was watching them play hockey or playing a video game, John was an active father to his five children. He had a strong faith and lived that faith to the fullest, exemplifying to his children a life centered on Christ. He had a wonderful personality with a smile and laugh that will be remembered and missed for years to come.

John is survived by his children: Ashton, Brittney, Braedon, Ian and Chase Housholder all of Detroit Lakes, two sisters: Lee Ann Larsen (Kevin Hunt) of Maple Grove, and Lynn (Mike) Alexander of Detroit Lakes along with close surviving family members: Kim Hines of Detroit Lakes, Richard and Susan LeCleir of Detroit Lakes and Keith (Nancy) LeCleir of Detroit Lakes as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Bruce Housholder.
