Joyce Ann Lubbesmeyer was born January 10, 1956 in Glyndon, MN to Richard and Doris (Bergquist) Jones. She is a 1974 graduate of Glyndon-Felton High School. She attended the Alexandria, MN Vo-Tech where she earned an associate degree in Interior Design. She then moved to Detroit Lakes where she earned an associate degree in Architectural Drafting from the Detroit Lakes Vo-Tech. Joyce was united in marriage to Daniel Lubbesmeyer October 14, 1978 in Glyndon, MN. They moved to the Twin Cities where she worked for Trossen and Wright Architects. She worked as a computer technician for Power Systems Engineering in Blaine, MN 1980 – 2008. Joyce and Dan moved to Chisago City, MN and made their home there 1986 – 2008. They moved to Lake Eunice in rural Detroit Lakes in 2008.
Joyce enjoyed fund raising for various activities, spending time with her grand son and time at the lake.
Survivors include her husband, Dan – Detroit Lakes; 2 daughters: Tobina (Bill) Tombers – Plymough, MN; Amy Lubbesmeyer – Moorhead, MN; a grandson: Billy Tombers; 3 sisters: Marcie (Bruce) Matson – Moorhead, MN, Janice Jones – Glyndon, MN and Monica (Tom) Millette – Moorhead, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Doris Jones.
