Judith Bergstrom

Judith Ann Bergstrom, age 73, of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Vibra Hospital in Fargo, ND. A prayer service will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at David Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes. A time of gathering will begin one hour prior. Judi was born on February, 2, 1943, to Henry and Emily (Cartwright) Reimer in Mobridge, SD. She grew up in Mobridge and later in Deadwood, SD. She was married to Holly Bergstrom Senior on December 24, 1960, in Deadwood, and together they raised six children. In 1966, she moved to Fargo, ND, where she worked as housekeeper around the community. In 1978, the family moved to Hitterdal, MN, and again in 1995, to Detroit Lakes. Judi worked as a bartender for various places and the V.F.W. She also worked as a housekeeper for Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes; until her retirement in 2005. In her spare time, Judi enjoyed spending time and visiting with friends and family. She and Holly enjoyed traveling and seeing her great grandchildren. She was fond of country gospel music. She is survived by her husband, Holly Bergstrom Sr.; children, Holly (Debbie) Bergstrom Jr. of Carson City, NV, Gaillin Bergstrom of Detroit Lakes, Melinda "Wendy" (John) Fudge of Detroit Lakes, Corinne Fingalson of Detroit Lakes, Arlan Bergstrom of Detroit Lakes, and Marlinn (Annette) Bergstrom of Stark, FL; brothers, Steven (Sandy) Reimer of Mobridge, SD, Danny (Marilyn) Reimer of Mobridge, SD, and Mike Reimer of Sturgis, SD; 25 grandchildren; and 46 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emily; sisters, Gerri, Cheryl, Linda, Susan and Mary Ann; a brother Richard; a grandson, Holly Bergstrom III; granddaughter Hailey Bergstrom and a great grandson, Dylan Peterson.
