Judy A Timmerman

Judy Ann Timmerman, 88, of Newport, Oregon passed away on March 22, 2023, after a long battle with dementia.

Judy was born on May 29, 1934, to Gerald and Helen Wade in Pendleton, Oregon.  After Judy graduated from Newport High School in 1952, she went on to spend a year at the University of Oregon in Eugene.

During her high school years, she met her husband Tim (Gale W.) Timmerman.  They were married on October 23, 1953.  Shortly after their wedding Tim was drafted to the Army where he spent 18 months in Korea.

After her husband's return from Korea, they moved to Turkey for 6 years.  While living abroad, they adopted their two sons from Greece.  Andrew Bruce Timmerman and Michael Sean Timmerman.  After returning to the United States, Judy gave birth to their daughter Krista Marcel Timmerman.

Throughout her life, Judy worked many administrative positions from schools to real estate to her own businesses.  Her favorite job was teaching belly dancing that she learned while living in the Middle East.

Most of all in her life, Judy loved.  She loved life, she loved dancing, she loved entertaining, but most of all she loved her family.

When her husband was diagnosed with cancer, they both moved to Detroit Lakes, MN to be with their daughter.  She resided in Detroit Lakes, with her family until her passing.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son.

Judy is survived by her brother, Steve (Rennie McGuire) Wade, her niece, Shelley (Ben) Bennett, daughter, Krista (Doug) Johnson, grandchildren: Katie (Matteo) Segat, Crystal Timmerman, Anthony Timmerman, Travis Timmerman, step-grandchildren: Amanda (Jessee) Anderson, Jon (Nicky) Johnson, Heather (Kevin) Engebebretson, and eight great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Judy and Tim are now dancing together again.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
