Kathie Sagmo

Kathie May Sagmo, age 58, of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN surrounded by her loved ones.

Kathie was born August 15, 1951 in Detroit Lakes to Chester and Eileen (Harthun) Sagmo. She was raised in Detroit Lakes and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School with the class of 1969.

Kathie was a member of the Detroit Lakes Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was employed at Picture Rock, Pella Windows, Swift and Company and for the past 16 years, she was employed at Lakes Medi-Van Non-emergency Transportation Company until November 25, 2009 due to her illness.

Kathie enjoyed going to bingo and to the casino and also getting together with the coffee crew and just laughing.

Kathie is survived by her dog, Kassie May; her parents, Chester and Eileen Sagmo; three sisters: Bonnie (Darcy) Bellefeuille, DeAnn McWethy, Kandy (Brad) Pederson; one brother, Ron (Tammy) Sagmo; 12 nieces and nephews; 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew.

Kathie is preceded in death by her niece, Kathie May Nelson.
