Keith Pierson

Keith Pierson, 69, Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Essentia-St. Mary’s Detroit Lakes.

Keith was born in Carrington, ND on December 30, 1953, to Gerald & Harriet (Neil) Pierson. He was one of five children. Keith graduated high school from West Fargo, ND in 1971. He was united in marriage to Faythe Stensgard on May 5, 1973. They raised 3 children. In his younger years, Keith enjoyed being active by playing softball and volleyball for various leagues in Detroit Lakes.

Keith was a man who wore many hats during his career years. Most recently, prior to retirement, Keith worked at Ramsey Flooring.

Keith developed a love for fishing that he carried throughout his life. He enjoyed teaching his grandkids to fish and loved to share his fishing knowledge. Keith loved his family fiercely and had a soft spot for his grandkids. Keith had a great sense of humor, loved to play jokes, tell jokes and had the best laugh.

Keith is survived by his wife of 50 years, Faythe of Detroit Lakes; his children: Naomi (John) Mousseau, Nathan (Jennifer) Pierson and Katie (Steve) Ramsey. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Landen, Zoey, Annelise, Kelby, Mox, Alivia, Isabelle, Noah & Rowan. Keith is also survived by his mother Harriet Pierson, two sisters Mari Beth (James) Hackett & Hattie Wolf, one brother Joel (Margaret) Pierson, sister-in-law Leslie, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald, brother Paul, sister-in-law Kim, nephew Conrad, father-in-law Alvin and mother-in-law Hazel.

Visitation: Friday, December 29, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at David-Donehower Funeral Home. Celebration of Life: Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at David-Donehower Funeral Home.
