Kenneth Sullivan

Kenneth L. “Punkin” Sullivan, Sr., 73, White Earth, MN, died Thursday, January 22 at Meritcare Hospital in Fargo, ND. Mass Of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 27 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in White Earth, Fr. Walter Butor, OMI, officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, White Earth. Friends may call from 4:00 PM Monday, January 26 until 9:00 AM Tuesday at the White Earth Community Center and at the church from 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 PM Monday at the community center.

Kenneth L. Sullivan was born September 12, 1935 in White Earth, MN to Joseph and Lucille (Beaulieu) Sullivan. He was raised and educated in White Earth and attended the White Earth Mission School. During his working life, he worked as a logger in the White Earth and Effie areas, for American Motors in Kenosha, WI, as a custodian for the Waubun-Ogema-White Earth School and for F-M Asphalt in Fargo, ND from 1976 until 1994. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, cutting wood, going to the casino, walking, sight seeing, attending Pow-Wows, boxing and watching sports on television.

Survivors include his children, Kenneth (Kathy) Sullivan Jr. of White Earth, LeRoy “Little Man” (Brandi) Sullivan of Ogema, Linda (Pat) Weiss of Detroit Lakes, Katherine (Jeff) Thompson of Mahnomen, Barb (Dick) Fabre of Ogema, Tahnee Dittus of Post Falls, Idaho, Angie (Dale) Sullivan of Mahnomen, Mary (Erik) Sullivan of Ogema; step-children, Chuck Sullivan of Mahnomen, Deb Azure of White Earth, Linda Azure of White Earth, Rebecca Villebrun of White Earth, Susan (Matt) Johnson of LaPorte, MN, Julie (Brad) Heisler of White Earth; 44 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Sullivan of Ogema, John (Melissa) Sullivan of Ogema; sisters, Karen (Bob) Schueler of Ft. Atkinson, WI, Sandra Revier of Callaway, Lucille “Teedo” Silk of Ogema, Maureen “Doll” Sullivan of Ogema, Diana Loberg of Detroit Lakes, Loretta Sullivan of Ogema, Jeanne (Pat) Sullivan of Callaway, Beverly (Dick) Chastek of Detroit Lakes. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert; great-granddaughter, Destiny Person; his parents, and a brother, Terrance Sullivan.
