Kim Johnson

Kim Ann Johnson, 52, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 2 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes, MSGR. Timothy McGee, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday with a rosary at 6:30 PM and Parish Vigil at 7:00 PM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the mass at the church on Saturday. Kim Ann Johnson was born January 9, 1964 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Raymond and Lillian (Lacina) Buschette. She was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes and is a 1982 graduate of Detroit Lakes High School. Kim was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Johnson July 10, 1982 in Detroit Lakes. She worked for Norby's Department Store prior to starting her daycare business in 1988. She operated Kim's Daycare until the time of her death and dearly loved all of her daycare kids. Kim also loved time with her family; the outdoors; her flower gardens, bike riding, going for walks, holding hands with Bob on their walks, scrapbooking, and her Friday night dates with Bob. Survivors include her husband, Bob of Detroit Lakes; a daughter and two sons: Emily (Rob) Larson, Tyler (Fiancee' – Lacey Feldt) and Bryan "Big Guy" Johnson – all of Detroit Lakes; four grandchildren: Cadyn, Bella, Layton Larson and Carnell Knutson; Brothers and sisters: Mary (Erv) Cahlin – Detroit Lakes, Larry (Dixie) Buschette – El Verta, CA, Linda (Ed) Jutz – Frazee, MN, Ron (Mary) Buschette – Detroit Lakes, Mic (Blanche) Buschette – Detroit Lakes, Alice (Jerry) Neulieb – Fergus Falls, MN, Debbie (Doug) Hildre – Oak Grove, MN, Mark (Bev) Buschette – Detroit Lakes, Bruce (Dawn) Buschette – Detroit Lakes, Brenda (Denny) Ahlfs – Detroit Lakes. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Jo, her parents, Ray and Lillian Buschette and a nephew, Chad Jutz.
