to Cecil and Agnes (Swanke) Sundeen.
She was raised in
Tower City
,
ND
and is a graduate of Leola (SD) High School.
Kim lived most of her adult life in
Fargo
where she was employed with NW Bell and Quest for over 20 years.
She married Darryl Stoen March 25, 2005 in
Fargo
and they made their home in
Fargo
until a Quest transfer took them to
Duluth
in April, 2008.
Kim enjoyed photography, crocheting, floral arranging, and collecting angels, which had a special meaning for her.
Always outgoing and friendly, family and friends were very important to her, always keeping in touch by phone and visits.
She had a wonderful smile and was always ready to pose if someone had a camera.
She liked authoring poems and reading them as tributes to family and friends.
Kim is survived by her husband, Darryl of Duluth; a daughter, Kristi Joy Heyd of South Korea; her father and step-mother, Cecil and Dorina Sundeen of Detroit Lakes; three sisters, Cindy (Rahe) Clancy of Severra Park, MD, Candicee (Kevin) Schwartzrock of Detroit Lakes, Sheila (Jon) Amundson of Tacoma, WA; a step-son, Alex Hawk of St. Cloud and a step-granddaughter, Rilie “Button” Hawk of St. Cloud, MN; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Sundeen and a brother, Stanley Sundeen.
