Kira Meyer

Kira Joyce Meyer, age four months and 29 days, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at her home in rural Ogema. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Callaway, Minnesota, Pastor Matthew Meyer officiating. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am and will continue until the time of service. A private family burial will be held in the spring. Kira was born on August 24, 2015, a birthday she shared with her grandmother, to Andrea Meyer at Essentia Health- St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes. She was transferred to the Natal Intensive Care Unit shortly after birth and remained there in their care for 74 days. She then went home to her loving family until she gave her mother her last smile on Saturday. She is survived by her mother, Andrea Meyer of Ogema; siblings, Devon, Kiana, Kimora, and Deshawn; a grandmother, Diane (Larry) Rumery of Ogema; aunts, Jackie Benedict of Colorado Springs, CO, and Megan ( Nolan) Kiphuth of New York Mills; a cousin, Caleb; and many great aunts and great uncles. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Joseph Meyer; great grandparents, Lee and Della Stiyer, and Arthur and Daisy Meyer; a great aunt, Rita Meyer; and great uncles, John Stiyer, and David Stiyer.
