LaRayne McCulley

Larayne N. McCulley, 92, resident of Detroit Lakes, MN, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Oak Crossing, Detroit Lakes. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 24 at 11AM in David Donehower Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Larayne Norma Bogenschutz was born September 17, 1921 in Perham, MN to Christ and Norma (Schmit) Bogenschutz. She attended St. Henry's Catholic School in Perham. After school she waitressed at Ollie's Café in Perham. She married Glenn Anderson and started a family. Larayne and Glenn later divorced. Larayne starting working for Dr. Sanders as an assistant and also managed the Lakes Movie Theater in Detroit Lakes. After a few years, Larayne married Orville Hukee. Orville passed away in 1980. Larayne was a widow for several years until she was united in marriage to Thomas McCulley. Larayne enjoyed her retirement years. She loved to read novels, watch Wheel of Fortune and followed the Minnesota Twins and Vikings every season. During her younger years she participated in bowling league, going to dances and playing cards.

Larayne is survived by her son: Brent Anderson of Detroit Lakes and two grandsons: Brandon (Lynnsey) Anderson of Cave Creek, AZ and Troy Anderson of Fargo, ND.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Glenn Anderson, 2nd husband Orville Hukee and 3rd husband Thomas McCulley along with one sister: Mildred Buck.
