Larry Rasmussen

Larry D. Rasmussen, 75, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2020, comfortably at home.  He was born August 9, 1945, the son of Henry and Clara (Maanum) Rasmussen.

Larry was a graduate of Middle River High School, served in the United States Air Force, and then graduated Moorhead State University with a degree in Accounting.  Larry spent his 30-year career as a tax specialist in various capacities with the Minnesota Department of Revenue.  Upon retirement, he has since made his home in the lakes country of Minnesota.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Clara, and wife Sandra Joy Rasmussen.

Larry is survived by his children: Michael (Brenda) Rasmussen, Michelle (Lance) Lalim, Jeffrey Rasmussen, stepchildren Jody Jenks (Joe Schmitcke), Jason (Christi) Jenks.  Larry is also survived by his siblings: Loren Rasmussen, Ron (Marlene) Rasmussen, Crystelle Underdahl, Darlene Terry, and Diane Rasmussen.  Also surviving Larry are all of his grand- and great-grandchildren: Madison Ertelt, Megan Ertelt, Bailey Rasmussen, Taylor (Hana) Pulczinski, Eliana Logan, Luke Lalim, Gabe Vernon, Measha Troxel, Jace Adamski, Sabrina Jenks, Nataya Thielbar, Jonah, Amelyah and Klaira Berneking, Elizabeth Jenks, Nathan Jenks, Samantha Jenks, Gavin Jenks, and two great-grandchildren: Cooper Larry Pulczinski and Oakley Mae Scott Pulczinski, as well as many, many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Larry’s children will be hosting a shop party in celebration of Larry’s life at his home in Lake Park, MN following the visitation and service.  All that would like to join are welcome.
