Laurie Hvzeda

Laurie Ann Hvzeda, 48, rural Ogema, MN, died Sunday, July 7 at Essentia-St. Mary's Health in Detroit Lakes. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at her home, 34770 County Road 143, Ogema. Friends may call from 4:00 PM Wednesday until the time of the service on Thursday at the Hvzeda Residence. Laurie Ann Hvzeda was born August 5, 1964 in Park Rapids, MN to George and Laura (Butcher) Fineday. She is a graduate of the Circle of Life School in White Earth and the Chef Training Program at the Minnesota Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes. Laurie was united in marriage to Harlan Hvzeda in March, 2000 in Naytahwausch, MN. She enjoyed cooking, going for car rides, BINGO, fishing, hunting and time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Harlan of Rice Lake, MN, two daughters: Darcy Lee Sayers of Red Lake, MN, Laura Hvzeda of Ogema, MN, 1 son: Matthew Hvzeda of Deer River, MN, a grandson: Derek Sayers; three sisters: Everyl Davis of Ponsford, MN, Nancy Fineday of Ogema, N, Judith Goodman of Ogema, MN, four brothers: Lester of Ponsford, MN, George Fineday Jr. of Ogema, MN, Douglas Fineday Sr. of Ponsford, MN and Herbert Fineday Sr. of Cloquet, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers: Gordon, Jaycee and Dennis.
