LeRoy D. Bray, 65, Ogema, MN, died Thursday, December 5 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 14 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Ogema, Fr. Joseph Hitpas, O.M.I., officiating. Interment will be I Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Friends may call 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, December 13 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Most Holy Redeemer Church.
LeRoy Dean Bray was born December 23, 1953 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Kenneth and Julia (Simon) Bray. He was raised and educated in Ogema and is a 1971 graduate of Waubun High School. He is a 1980 graduate of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and worked As a Mechanical Insulator in Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. For many years, he worked with Newman Insulation. LeRoy was a member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local 133 where he served as Financial Secretary and President.
LeRoy enjoyed time with his nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, deer hunting, ice fishing and being on the land. He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He rebuilt a 1939 Shovelhead Harley to original condition.
Survivors include brothers and sisters: Germaine Riegert of Waubun, MN, Donald (Dorothy) Bray of Fairbanks, Alaska, Merelyn (Joy) Bray of Baxter, MN, Virgil (Mary) Bray of Baxter, MN, Kathy (Dann) Hoffman of Crookston, MN, Carroll (Kristie) Bray of Holland, MI, Michael (Amelia) Bray of Waubun, MN, Mark (Karen) Bray of Bremerton, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kenneth Bray, JR. and a brother-in-law, Leo Riegert.
