Lester Skipinaday

Lester J. Skipinaday, 69, resident of Park Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, February 4 in his residence in Park Rapids. Funeral Services for Lester will be held Tuesday, February 10 at 11AM in the Old Pine Point School, Ponsford. Visitation will be held Monday, February 9 from 4:30 until the time of services on Tuesday. Interment will be held in St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery, Ponsford. Lester James Skipinaday was born October 27, 1945 in Ponsford, MN to Benjamin and Cecelia (Fineday) Skipinaday. He grew up in Pine Point and after high school he attended the auto mechanic program at the Vo-Tech in Detroit Lakes. After college he moved to California. He moved back to Ponsford in 1999. In 2010 he moved to Park Rapids. Lester enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. During his younger years he enjoyed trapping and fishing. Later in life, he enjoyed going for drives in the country and always enjoyed visits from family. Lester had a wonderful sense of humor and always enjoyed a good joke.

He is survived by two sisters: Cecelia Skipinaday and Jennie Jackson, one brother: Wilmar Skipinaday along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Benjamin Skipinaday Jr., one sister: Oleva Pino and nephew: William Jackson
