Lillian M. Buschette, 87, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 30 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes, Msgr. Timothy McGee, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday with a rosary at 6:30 and Parish Vigil at 7:00 PM at David-Donehower Funeral Home. The visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the mass at the church on Wednesday. Lillian Mae Buschette was born April 25, 1927 in Cicero, Illinois to Henry and Katherine (Beller) Lacina Sr. She moved with her family to Mahnomen, MN at the age of 5 and was a 1945 graduate of Mahnomen High School. Lillian was united in marriage to Raymond Buschette, April 25, 1946 in Mahnomen. They made their home in Detroit Lakes. During her working life, Lillian worked at the Red Apple Café in Mahnomen, the Proctor Café and for Schiller Insurance in Detroit Lakes. After they started their family, Lillian also did Day Care for a number of children in the community. Lillian enjoyed hanging laundry on the line, Christmas shopping all year round for her family and friends, being active in her Catholic Faith, time in prayer, babies and little children. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Christian Mothers and the Resurrection Choir. Survivors include her husband, Ray of Detroit Lakes, 11 children: Mary (Erv) Cahlin of Detroit Lakes, Larry (Dixie) of El Verta, CA, Linda (Ed) Jutz of Frazee, MN, Ron (Mary) of Detroit Lakes, Mic (Blanche) of Detroit Lakes, Alice (Jerry) Neuleib of Fergus Falls, MN, Debbie (Doug) Hildre of Oak Grove, MN, Mark (Bev) of Detroit Lakes, Bruce (Dawn) of Detroit Lakes, Brenda (Denny) Ahlfs of Detroit Lakes, Kim (Bob) Johnson of Detroit Lakes, 27 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren (and three on the way), a brother: Henry Lacina Jr. of Thief River Falls, MN and a sister, Alice Yost of Twin Valley, MN. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott, a grandson, Chad Jutz, an infant granddaughter, Amy Jo Johnson and an infant great grandson, Elliot Close.
