Lucille Fagerlie

Lucille M. Walker Fagerlie, 90, Detroit Lakes, MN, formerly of Moorhead, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, August 11 at the Lake Eunice Evangelical Free Church in rural Detroit Lakes, Pastor Dale Robins, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Lucille M. Walker Fagerlie, known as Lucy, was born November 4, 1923 in Glasgow, KY to Oliver and Mamie (Jolly) Grimsley. She moved with her family to Strathcona, MN where she was raised and educated. Lucy was united in marriage to Frank Walker, August 8, 1939 in Strathcona. To this union were born two children, Bertha and Frankie. She was united in marriage to James Walker, November 15, 1950, in Roseau County, MN. To this union were also born two children, Gene and Marilyn. The family moved to Dilworth, MN and to Moorhead, MN. Lucy was united in marriage to Alfred Fagerlie, May 11, 1988 in Moorhead. She worked as a bottler for the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Fargo, retiring in 1987. Lucy enjoyed going to the casino, crafts, flower gardening, crocheting and a good joke. Survivors include her husband, Alfred of Detroit Lakes, two sons, Frankie (Patricia) Walker of Moorhead, Gene (Linda) Walker of Glyndon, a daughter, Marilyn Saulsbury of Moorhead, 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, three brothers; Chuck (Vickie) Ritchie of Moorhead, MN, Johnny (Bobi) Ritchie of Corralitos, CA, Bruce Ritchie of Superior, WI. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bertha, three grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a sister, Edith, and three brothers, Willard, Donald and James.
