Lucille M. Haverkamp, 67, lifelong resident of Ogema, MN died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Lucille Mae Andersen was born January 20, 1943 in White Earth, MN to Christian and Anna (Casebeer) Andersen. She was raised and educated in the Waubun and Ogema area. Lucille was united in marriage to William Haverkamp in Ogema on February 4, 1961. Together they farmed and raised their family instilling a hard work ethic and good examples for their children. Lucille’s life was centered around her family. She would always remember your birthday. She cherished time spent with every grandchild and loved keeping up on all the latest news and events they were involved in. Lucille enjoyed gardening, cooking, embroidery work, jig saw puzzles and reading. Her love for family will always be remembered and her quiet but giving nature will be greatly missed.
Lucille is survived by her children, Bob (Sandi) Haverkamp of Ogema, Theresa (Jerry) Fossen of Ogema, Tim (Monica) Haverkamp of Ogema and John Haverkamp of Ogema. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one sister; Marie Haverkamp of Ogema and two brothers: Wilfred (Eileen) Andersen and Raymond (Bev) Andersen both of Frazee, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Ronald Haverkamp, daughter, Karen Haverkamp, brothers: Leonard Andersen and Kenneth Casebeer and sisters: Irene Andersen and Leona Pederson.
