Margaret Irene Tembrock was born March 29, 1914 on the family farm near Callaway, MN to John P. and Sophie (Kahnke) Krier. She attended schools in Callaway, Moorhead and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1929. She is a 1931 graduate of Moorhead State Teachers College. Margaret taught in rural Callaway and later served as Principal of the Callaway Elementary School. Margaret was united in marriage to Raymond Tembrock June 21, 1937 in Callaway. They made their home on Ogema where she was employed by, and served as Vice-President of the Ogema State Bank. Raymond died in 1989.
Margaret was a member of Most Holy Redeemer Church, was the church sacristan for many years, taught CCD classes for 25 years, was a member of the Ladies Sadality, the V. F. W. Auxiliary and an Oblate of The Order Of St. Benedict in Crookston, MN. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world, gardening, canning and sewing.
Survivors include her children: Joseph and his wife Judy of Santa Rosa, CA, William and his wife Kathy of Hotchkiss, CA, James and his wife, Donna of St. Cloud, MN, Paul and his wife Sue of Sartell, MN, Marilyn and her husband Bob Thelen of The Woodlands, TX, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a brother, John Krier of Ankorage, Alaska.
In addition to her husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a granddaughter, Michelle Thelen, 3 sisters, Marie, Catherine and Theresa.
