Marilyn Muellner

April 19, 1939 — September 6, 2020

Ogema

Marilyn Ann Muellner was born April 19, 1939 in Greenwald, Minnesota the daughter of John and Rose Kulzer. She passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at her granddaughter’s home in Ogema.

She grew up in the Greenwald area and attended high school in Melrose.  Marilyn moved to St. Paul and became a nanny for Tom Moore. She worked downtown St. Paul at Woolworth’s and later returned to Sauk Centre.

On July 25, 1959 she married the love of her life; John Muellner at St. Andrews Church in Greenwald. They moved  to the Como neighborhood of St Paul. Shortly after their first child was born they made their Home in Blaine where they had four more children. Marilyn was widowed in 1970, and she raised her children and cared for the house while working as a waitress in Blaine.

Marilyn enjoyed playing volleyball and having movie nights with her friends. In the children’s younger years she was active with 4-h, teaching them to bake and cook, and would take them camping every year. Marilyn liked to read, listen to music and attend concerts, most notably, Johnny Cash and Elvis.

Marilyn  always remembered everyone's birthday and everyone would get a birthday card! She saw the  good  in people and never said an unkind word to anyone. She liked to focus on the positive and was the perfect example of unconditional love. Marilyn was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. There was always a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes. The way she answered her phone with a sing song HelloooOO? will be greatly missed.
