Marilyn Kaye Olson, age 54, of Mahnomen, MN, went on her journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Sanford Health Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Marilyn was born on June 19, 1963, to Laverne “Buckshot” Neadeau and Ethelbert (St. Clair) Goodwin in Minneapolis, MN. She moved to various places until she made Mahnomen her home.
Marilyn loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren and the love of her life and fiancée, Dan Yost. She enjoyed Pow-wow’s, playing cards with her family, and going to the casinos. She also liked cooking for other people. Marilyn had an inviting personality and a contagious smile. She was loved by many and could always brighten your day. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing her flowers. Holidays were special to Marilyn, she loved to decorate and host gatherings. Marilyn is survived by her fiancée, Dan Yost of Mahnomen, MN; a daughter, Nucona Neadeau of Red Lake, MN; a brother, Gerry (Kelly) Neadeau of Hawley, MN; three sisters: Marie (Vernon) Neadeau of Red Lake; Sue Neadeau of Thief River Falls, MN; and Terri Neadeau of Red Lake; and six grandchildren: Jalen, Kaleb, Lastasia, Ayden, Derrick Jr., and Cecelia, and step-father; Lyle Goodwin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Laverne and Ethelbert; and a half-sister, Shari Pearson.
