Marjorie A. Danielson, 75, of rural Detroit Lakes, MN died Monday, November 2, 2009 at her home under care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. The funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, November 6, 2009 at Lake Eunice Evangelical Free Church, rural Detroit Lakes, with reverend Dale Robins officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Marjorie Adele Danielson was born February 21, 1934 in Audubon, MN to Raymond E. and Beada (Dorff) Nelson. She was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes and confirmed at Lake Eunice Evangelical Free Church. Marjorie was a 1951 graduate of Detroit Lakes High School. She moved to Minneapolis, MN where she worked as a bookkeeper for Honeywell. Marjorie was united in marriage with Donald Danielson in Detroit Lakes in 1953. They moved to Excelsior, MN and lived in Cosmos, MN from 1975 to 1980; returning to Detroit Lakes in 1980.
Marjorie enjoyed knitting, spending time with her grandchildren, working in her flower garden, and visiting her son in Hawaii.
Marjorie is survived by her children: Steve (Sheila) Danielson of Detroit Lakes, Keith (Kathy) Danielson of Cosmos, MN, Bruce (Stacey) Danielson of Lake Park, MN, Lee (Nora Fisher) Danielson of Cosmos, Eileen Relford (Billy Rose) of Detroit Lakes, Sue (Dale) Martin of Cosmos; extended family, Noella Rosenau; grandchildren: Steven (Veronica) Allen, Roney (Danielle) Martin, Illia, Raymond and Kylie Bennet, Jason and Carrie Ramthun, Ashley, Jennifer, Kimberly and Jake Shepard, Corey and Rebecca Huso, Rylee, Maren, Siri; extended family, Gracey and Mitch Witthus; great-grandchildren: Ashton, Connor, Kadence and Matthew; sister, Lola McDougall of Coeur d’Alene, ID.
