Marjorie Ann Mosny, age 80, of Detroit Lakes, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, June 29 at Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, Pastor Guy Roberts officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 28 at David Donehower Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Marjorie was born to Richard and Evelyn (Corke) Wilbur on November 13, 1934 in Frazee, MN. She attended Country School Number 227 in Vergas until the seventh grade; when the school closed she went to Frazee, where she graduated in 1952. She met and married Herman Mosny at Zion Lutheran Church on June 5th, 1953. Together they farmed in Erie Township until 1977 when they sold the farm and moved to Detroit Lakes. For the next 15 years she drove a motor route for the Detroit Lakes papers and retired in 1996. She was also an Avon Sales Representative for 25 years where she made many friends and earned many awards. She was always active in the 4-H Program, where she served as leader, assistant leader, and project leader. She and Herman also served as fire wardens in the townships of Erie and Detroit for 30 years. She is survived by her children, David of Detroit Lakes, Vernon (Fay) of Detroit Lakes, and Valerie Lehmann of Detroit Lakes; a sister, Genevieve Hanson of Morris; six grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Herman; her parents; a daughter, Virginia Turcotte; a brother, Bill; and two son-in-laws, Laddie Turcotte and David Lehmann.
