Marjorie L. Ruch, 71, Frazee, MN, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 surrounded by her family and under care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes, MN.
Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church one hour prior to service.
Marjorie Laverne Seffinga was born in Radisson, WI on August 2, 1936 to Charles and Grace (Crye) Seffinga. She was raised in Leminton, WI and attended grade school in Couderay, WI, later attending high school in Winter, WI. After school Marjorie married Sherman Ruch and they resided for a short time in Illinois and later Iowa before moving to Moorhead, MN in the late 1950?s, where they started their family. Sherman and Marjorie divorced in 1973. Marjorie worked at The Bowler in Fargo for 26 years where she managed the restaurant. She also took in foster children until they were able to find a home. Marjorie later worked for Quality Bakery until retiring in 2002. In her spare time, Marjorie enjoyed reading, gardening and most importantly, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Marjorie will be remembered and missed by her children, Donald ?Chip? Ruch of Blaine, MN, Kimberly Vincent and her husband Chester of Frazee, MN, Brenda Olund of Blaine, and Bradley Ruch and his wife Ruth of Fargo; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Seffinga and his wife Carol; two sisters, Arlene Haske, Darlene Scharlau and her husband Robert. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Michael and Robert; one sister, Lois Ives.
