Marsha Louks

April 15, 1946 — July 9, 2009

Marsha Faye Louks was born April 15, 1946 at Macintosh, MN to Ernest and Ingaborg (Austad) Sammons. She grew up on the prairies of Montana and North Dakota . Later in her childhood she moved with her family to Detroit Lakes and attended school there. In 1964 she married Alfred Olds in Detroit Lakes and resided in the Detroit Lakes area. Marsha was united in marriage with Daniel Louks in Rapid City , South Dakota in 1982. They resided in Detroit Lakes . Marsha worked many jobs in and around Detroit Lakes ; including: at Emmanuel Nursing Home, the Clark Gas Station, numerous waitress jobs, at Pella Windows, as a service rep for Wrangler Jeans and several other rep jobs.





Marsha was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes . She was mother and a good friend to many and will be sorrowfully missed by all. Marsha loved to flower garden and vegetable garden. She also enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, canning, cooking, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She is a beloved wife and mother.





Marsha is survived by her husband, Daniel Louks of Detroit Lakes; three sons: Jeff Olds of Detroit Lakes, Wade (Wendy) Olds of Detroit Lakes, Scott (Heather) Olds of Detroit Lakes; one daughter: Sharon (Mike) Collett of Moorhead, MN; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a “Golden Godson”, Craig Teal. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother; sister, Sharon and brother, Ricky.
