Martin Kunz

Martin A. Kunz, 62, Ogema, MN, died of natural causes on Saturday, March 26 while working at Winter Farms in rural Callaway, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 30 at Assumption Catholic Church in Callaway, MN, Fr. Xavier Ilango, officiating. Interment will be in St. MaryA�A�A½s Cemetery, Callaway. Friends may call 5:00 A�A�A½ 7:00 PM Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes. The visitation will continue at the church 1 hour prior to the mass on Wednesday. Martin Ambrose Kunz was born October 2, 1948 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Desmond and Norma (Schultz) Kunz. He attended the White Earth (MN) Mission School through the 8th grade and is a 1966 graduate of Waubun (MN) High School. Following graduation, he farmed with his father and brother, Bruce in rural Ogema. For the past 25 years, he has worked with Winter Masonry and Winter Farms in rural Callaway. Marty had a great sense of humor and was a good story teller. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drawing and music of the 1960A�A�A½s. Survivors include his mother, Norma Kunz of Ogema; brothers: Clyde (Linda) of Otter Tail, MN, Harold (Cindy) of Esko, MN and Bruce (Jane) of Frazee, MN. 2 nieces: Kristin and Ashlan Kunz and 4 nephews: Ben, Andrew, Tony and Jason Kunz. He was preceded in death by his father in 2004.
