MaryAnne Sweet was born on August 22, 1958, in Kenosha, WI to Bernard and Yvonne(St.Clair) Sweet. At a young age the family moved to MN, then moved to Coweta, OK in 1970. She graduated from Coweta High School in 1976. After high school she worked various jobs in the area.
In 1981, MaryAnne met and married James Holt in Tulsa, OK. To this union a daughter JamiJoe was born. The family lived in North Tulsa, OK and were married for over 16 years before divorcing in 1997. She worked for the Weche Company in the warehouse until they went out of business. She then bartended for local establishments, before working at the Cherokee Casino in Catoosa, Ok in the players club until 2012. In 2014, MaryAnne moved to Detroit Lakes, MN to be closer to extended family. She found her calling of helping others in her apartment building and community when she moved to Minnesota.
MaryAnne enjoyed drinking beer, creating art, listening to Motown music, especially the group Indigenous, helping others, Spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play.
MaryAnne will be deeply missed by her daughter JamiJoe(Mark ll) Bible of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren Anya Bible, James Bible, and Cali Bible; mother Yvonne Jackson of Coweta, OK; sister Yvonne “Punky”Todd of Coweta, OK; niece Stephanie “Pooh” Todd of Broken Arrow, OK; nephew Stevie Todd of Coweta; her true love Rosendo Aguirre of Broken Arrow, OK; life long friends Vicki Dugan and Jennifer Duke.
She is preceded in death by her father Bernard; step-father Bobby Jackson; ex husband James Holt; aunt Bernice; and uncle Gordy and extended family
