Mary Sauer

Sauer, Mary A., age 65 of Eden Prairie, passed away peacefully 3-10-2014 after enduring Parkinson's disease for 28 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ethel Theisen. Survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Sauer; daughters, Julie (Stephen) Doig of Melbourne, Australia and Becky (Justin Ball) Sauer of Beaverton, OR; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Elise, Lucy and Silas; sisters, Tilly (Mike) Kordonowy of Bismarck ND, Martha (Harvey) Karas of Oakes ND and Margaret Theisen of White Bear Lake; niece, Kristi, nephew, Jesse and many other loving family and friends. After graduating from Moorhead State University in 1970, Mary taught kindergarten and first grade for 34 years at Park Brook Elementary School, Osseo School District #279. Mary enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, shopping and spending time at the cabin. She was a dedicated wife and devoted mother who traveled, participated in school activities and enjoyed her grandchildren and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Tuesday (3/18) at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie. Visitation 5-8:00 pm Monday (3/17) at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie, and one hour prior to Mass at CHURCH. Interment Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.
