Mary E. Voracek, 93, of Moline, IL died Wednesday, January 16 at the Frazee Care Center, Frazee, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 23 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes, MN with Father Luis Silva officiating. Interment will be held in the spring at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Mary Elsie Hustak was born May 12, 1914 in Onamia, MN. She attended and graduated from the Onamia schools. Mary moved to Fargo and was united in marriage with Frank Voracek in 1934. She worked at Herbst Department Store and Royal Jewelers in Fargo. She retired to Detroit Lakes in 1973. Frank died in 1979 and Mary moved to Moline, IL in 2003. Mary spent the winters in Arizona and Hawaii; summering in Detroit Lakes. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, sewing and crocheting.
Mary is survived by her son, Donald Voracek and his wife Lilli Iseman of Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank.
