Maurice Eder

Maurice Joseph Eder was born July 4, 1928 in Breckenridge, MN to Joseph and Mary (Portner) Eder. He was united in marriage to Catherine Schmit, June 20, 1951. They made their home in Breckenridge, Doran, Hoffman and Detroit Lakes where Maurice worked as a manager for numerous lumber companies. Catherine died in 2010. Maurice loved music, dancing, bowling, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his children: Thomas (Julie) Eder of Fargo, ND, Judith (Kevin) Maynard of Detroit Lakes, Kevin Eder of Detroit Lakes, Mary Beth (Mike) Nelson of Wahpeton, ND, Annette (Max) Blacknik of Grand Forks, ND, Karen Harjes of Oak Park Heights, MN, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a brother: Linus Eder of Williston, ND. In addition to his wife, Catherine, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Shirley Roeder.
