Megan Arlene Aune, 23, of
Audubon, Minnesota, passed from her earthly life and burst into Eternity on Monday
October 7th, 2013 after a long struggle with illness and arising complications. She did this at home surrounded by the love of family and friends. Megan was born December 3rd, 1989 at the Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, MN. To Jodie and Steve Johnson. In the
summer of 1991, she became the bright and beautiful daughter of Brent and Rebecca Aune. Megs began school in Mrs. Tumberg's
Kindergarten class at New York Mills Elementary School. Twelve years later, she and that same class graduated from New York Mills High School. Megan enjoyed the many friendships made during that time. Megan was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and attended the Detroit Lakes Branch. She had many dear friendships with her church family and was ever grateful them for their love and support. Because of the needs of her physical body, Megan sought and needed the help of many professionals: Personal Care Attendants & Respite workers; Nurses & Doctors; Specialists & Therapists; Dentists, etc. etc. Many of whom became like family to her. To these dear ones, we give our heartfelt thanks and deepest gratitude—for the service given over the years. Because of you, we know angels walk the earth. During her lifetime she brought great happiness to those who knew & loved her. Megan had so many loves and interests it would be difficult to write them all down but, in attempting, a short list would go like this: Collector of snow globes and hot sauces: Lover of baby dolls and Metallica; Imaginary owner of a big black truck and a bright yellow VW bug, Liker of loud music and soft TV. She couldn't have children but she loved her baby KiKi. She was a member of the ASPCA organization to help abused animals and filled our farm with many, many pets. She was a loyal daughter, sister, niece, cousin, granddaughter and friend and loved them all dearly. Megan is survived by her parents: Brent Aune, Rebecca and Kelly Thomas and her birth parents: Jodie Graupman and Steven Johnson. Sisters: Jessie (Justin) Eisenlohr and Tylar (Landen Stein) Aune. Brothers: Trevor Thomas; Greg Englund; Steven Johnson; and Anthony Johnson. Beloved
grandparents, aunts, and uncles too numerous to name but ever remembered in our hearts—especially Auntie Kiss and Bonco David. Her Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, October 9th at 4:00 p.m. at the Detroit Lakes Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with burial on October 11th in Grace Cemetery, Grace, Idaho
