Michael Berger

Michael A. Berger, 57, Rochert, MN, died suddenly, Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 23 at David-Donehower Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Frazee with Military Rites provided by the Lake Region Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Michael Anthony Berger was born April 23, 1957 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Ignatius and Georgia (Mayfield) Berger. He is a 1975 graduate of Frazee High School. Following graduation, Mike served with the U. S. Army 1975 – 1978 serving at Ft. Bragg, NC and in Hawaii. Following his discharge, he worked in the oil fields in Texas. He returned to Rochert in October, 2013. Mike enjoyed tinkering with old cars, electronics and fixing anything he could work on. Survivors include his children: Randy Monroe of Detroit Lakes, Corgan Berger of Huston, TX, brothers and sisters: Roger (Irene) of Anoka, MN., Jon (Katherine) of Frazee, Tricia (Bill) Schneider of Bemidji, MN, Stanley of Rochert, Rita (Arville) Thompson of Brookings, SD, Susan (Rodney "Tom") Winter of Detroit Lakes, Mark (Dana) of Rochert, Sisters-In-Law: Charlotte Berger of Fergus Falls and Jeri Berger of Big Sky, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Paul and Neil.
