Michael Kraemer

Michael James Kraemer was born on December 20, 1952, in Parkers Prairie, MN to Roy and Maylola (Brockopp) Kraemer. He graduated from Parkers Prairie High School with the class of 1971. After high school he attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Wadena for welding.  He worked for the Soo Line Railroad for a short time before starting a roofing company called Kraemer Roofing with his brother Stacy. The two brothers owned and operated the roofing company for over 25 years together.

Michael met the love of his life Jocelyn Sandigan and the two married in October of 2007. The couple resided in Detroit Lakes. Michael was a wonderful and loving husband, brother and father. He was an honest, hardworking man, who loved the Lord. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time on his Harley Motorcycle. He loved to trap, fish, hunt and harvest wild rice. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Deeply loved, Michael’s passing is mourned by his wife Jocelyn; children Casey (Kelsey) Kraemer, and Jewel Kraemer; siblings Roy (Karen) Kraemer, Cynthia (John) Warren, Debbie Marquard, and Beth (Wayne) Anderson; sister in-law Debbie Furst, and extended family and friends.

Preceding Michael in death are his parents Roy and Maylola; brother Stacy Kraemer; and nephew Ryan Kraemer.
