Myron Keller

Myron A. Keller, 78, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at St. Mary's-Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes. Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, August 30 at Golden Manor in Detroit Lakes, Chaplain Tim Cook, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with military rites provided by the Lake Region Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call from 1:30 – 2:30 PM at Golden Manor. Myron Alex Keller was born February 18, 1933 in Palmyra, Wisconsin to Alex and Desda Keller. He was raised and educated in Palmyra. He served as a cook with the U. S. Army March 20, 1952 – February 24, 1954. Myron was united in marriage to Donna Kinch, January 31, 1956 in Minneapolis. During his working life, he was a tool and dye maker, primarily with Foley Manufacturing of Columbia Heights, MN. Donna preceded Myron in death March 4, 1979. He moved to Detroit Lakes in 2009. Myron enjoyed fishing, hunting, the out doors and helping others. He was proud of his nine years of sobriety and the fact that he died sober.

Survivors include three daughters: Cheryl (Steve) Hedlund of Lake Park, MN; Renee (Kenny) Wacholz of Palisades, MN; Julie (Lorrie) Thompson of Detroit Lakes; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to his wife, Donna, he was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Chapman and three brothers: Zenith Keller, Allen and Ralph Muhasky. David-Donehower Funeral Home is serving the family.
