Nora Mois

Nora G. Mois, 91, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Saturday, November 28 at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 7 at the First Baptist Church in Detroit Lakes, Reverend Jim Hinson, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Nora Gladys Mois was born October 12, 1923 in Stowmarket, England to Henry and Margaret Eade. She was united in marriage to William "Hank" Mois, November 4, 1944 in Stowmarket. Following the war, they settled in Detroit Lakes, MN where she and Hank raised their eight children. She then worked for over 20 years at the JC Penney store in Detroit Lakes. Nora always loved her morning and afternoon "cup of tea". She enjoyed knitting, gardening and reading. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, William "Hank" Mois of Detroit Lakes, six children: David and Dennis of Detroit Lakes, Derek (Cheri) of Cold Spring, MN, Kathy (Pat) VanCampen of Red Wing, MN, Shirley (Dean) Bradsher of Flower Mound, TX, Barbara Amos of Colorado Springs, CO, 19 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by her son, Dale and her daughter, Doris.
