Norman Behlmer

Norman D. Behlmer, 82, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Monday, July 11 at Emmanuel Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:15 PM Friday, July 15 at the Emmanuel Nursing Home Chapel, Msgr. Timothy McGee, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the mass at the nursing home. Norman Dale Behlmer was born December 26, 1928 in Fargo, ND to Arthur and Hazel (Ridgeway) Behlmer. He was raised and educated in the Fargo, ND area. During his working life, Norm sold real estate in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area. Survivors include his wife: Eunice "Charlie" of Detroit Lakes; a son: Jerry (Cheryl Kohler) Behlmer of Detroit Lakes, daughters: Jean (Bill) Thoemke of W. Fargo, ND and Jennifer (Mike) Mahler of Urbandale, IA, five grandchildren: Jason (Shanna) Behlmer, Travers Behlmer, Dawn (Tim) Beedy, Stacy (Kari) Behlmer, Samantha Mahler, Nine great-grandchildren: Sharissa, Sheldon, Sharanda Behlmer, Christopher, Alex and Anne Beedy, Courtnay, Ian and Adam Behlmer, One great-great grandson: Emmet Beedy. He was preceded in death by two grandsons: Thomas Thoemke and Matthew Mahler
