She attended school in Detroit Lakes, MN, where she stayed at a boarding house. After high school she moved to the Twin Cities where she worked. Nydia moved back to the Callaway area where she met Vince Lefebvre. Nydia was united in marriage to Vincent Lefebvre October 17, 1956 in Callaway, MN. They lived on the farm where they milked cows and farmed until their retirement in 1983. After retiring, they bought a home on Strawberry Lake in rural Ogema, where they lived for 13 years. They then moved to Ogema. Vince passed away in 2010 and Nydia continued to live in their home in Ogema. Nydia was a very faithful Catholic. She attended Mass daily at Most Holy Redeemer in Ogema. She loved to pray the rosary and would always include all of her family in her prayers. She also loved to sew on her dishtowels. She made many, many sets that she was very proud to share. She had a terrific memory and loved to hear what everyone was up to. Nydia is survived by her three sons: Richard (Joyce) of Lake Park, MN, Ron (Deb) of Nielsville, MN, John (Kim) of Stacey, MN, two daughters: LaVerne (Jeff) Hoban of Ogema, MN and Barb (Mark) Hoban of Waubun, MN. She is also survived by three daughter-in-laws: Karen Lefebvre of Waubun, MN, Margaret Lefebvre of Callaway, MN and Donna Lefebvre of Waubun, MN along with one sister: Mary Ann Herberg of Pine City, MN, 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren (and one on the way) and three great-great grandchildren.
