Pamela K. “Bonzo” Jackson Risdon, 58, Ponsford, MN, died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Frazee (MN) Care Center with her daughter, Loretta, by her side. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, October 9 at St. Columba Episcopal Church in White Earth, Mother Lisa Smith and Pastor Pat Olson, officiating. Interment will be in St. Columba Episcopal Cemetery, White Earth. Friends may call from 4:00 PM Thursday, October 8 until noon Friday at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth.


Pamela Kay Jackson Risdon, known as “Bonzo” was born September 26, 1951 in Little Fork, MN to Harold and Deloryce (Welch) Jackson Sr. She was raised and educated in Little Fork and received training through the Job Corps in Michigan. She then spent time in Michigan and Wisconsin. She returned to Minnesota and attended the Secretarial Administration Training Program at the Northwest Technical College in Detroit Lakes. During her working years, she worked for Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, RDO Food Processing in Park Rapids and the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer which resulted in her entry to the Frazee Care Center.Pam enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her bead work, playing guitar and singing. She also valued the time spent with her daughter, Loretta who cared for her in her illness. She had a very strong belief in a Higher Power.Survivors include two daughters: Loretta Jackson and Barbara Jackson both of Ponsford; two sons: Kevin Jackson and Fred Jackson both of Ponsford; four sisters: Pat (Darryl) Moran of Ponsford, Jacqueline Jackson of Mahnomen, MN, Penny (Bruce) Riedel of Frazee, MN, Lydia Bellanger of St. Paul, MN; three brothers: Duane Jackson of St. Cloud, MN, Douglas Jackson of Ponsford and Anthony Jackson of Duluth, MN. She was preceded in death by a grandson; her parents; a brother, Harold Jackson Jr. and her former spouse, Frederick Jackson.
