Patricia Arth

September 24, 1935 — January 7, 2025

Patricia Anne Arth, age 89, of Detroit Lakes passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 24, 1935, as the third child of Frank and Laura Meath. She had an older brother Don Meath, Jim Meath and younger sister Mary Jo (Reimer). She loved to read in her childhood and throughout her life.

 She graduated from Shanley high school. After High School she moved to Colorado with her girlfriends taking a job as a telephone Operator. It is there that she met the love of her life, Bill Arth. They got engaged and were married in Fargo North Dakota. They moved to the Twin Cities where they raised seven children.

 She was a full-time homemaker and mother, and she adored her children. She loved her dogs and dearly loved to travel especially with her family, as well as attending musicals & plays, and going to the lake where her and Bill would eventually retire. Pat loved spending time with her sister Mary Jo, who was also her best friend. They loved to have meals at Herb & Jo’s and ride on the pontoon. 

Pat will be remembered and greatly missed by her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren by her great love for them all.

Patricia is survived by her beloved children: Laurie (Jeffrey) Kick, Lisa Arth, Bill (Margarita) Arth, Robert (Michelle) Arth, Jon (Shari) Arth, Jamie (Michele) Arth, and Patti (Jason) Hartman. She delighted in the company of her adored grandchildren, including Fr. Caleb Kick, Jackson Kick, Trisha Kick, Sean (Sherry) Regan, Suzanne (Brandon) Rodewald, Erin (Bo) MacDonald, Thomas (Maria) Regan Jr, Mary (Loren) Beltz, Robert (Janelle) Regan, Justin Arth, Lauren Arth, Amanda Berg, Destiny Cook, AJ Arth, Mike Zamora, Tristan Arth, Elliot Arth, Oliver Arth, Will Arth, Olivia Arth, James Arth, Ben Hartman, Theo Hartman, and Avery Hartman. Patricia also leaves behind her dearly beloved ten great grandchildren, along with many other loving family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband William P. Arth, her parents, as well as her siblings Don Meath, Jim Meath, and Mary Jo Meath, Her daughter in law Pamala Arth, her son-in-law Thomas Regan, and many other beloved family members and friends.

Patricia Anne Arth will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family, her kind spirit, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.

A private service will be held for family.
