Patricia Linquist

Patricia A. Linquist, 85, Detroit Lakes, MN, formerly of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas died Saturday, January 21 at her home. A Memory Service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 24 at Lincoln Park in Detroit Lakes, Reverend David Peterson, officiating. Interment will be in the Peace Lutheran Memorial Garden in Edgemont, Arkansas. Patricia Ann Linquist was born March 26, 1926 in Kiron, IA to Clarence and Irene (Nelson) Dahl. She was raised and educated in Kiron and was the Valedictorian of the Kiron High School Class of 1943. She earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Gustavius Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN in 1947. Pat worked as a substitute teacher in the Kiron area prior to her marriage to Jack Linquist April 3, 1948 in Kiron. They lived in Omaha, NE, and Papillion, NE prior to moving to Fairfield Bay, AR in 1980. They moved to Detroit Lakes, MN in 2010. Pat enjoyed being active in her church, baking, painting, golf, tennis, square dancing, reading and sewing. She and Jack were founding members of Peace Lutheran Church in Edgemont, AR. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jack of Detroit Lakes, a daughter: Deb (Bill) Wickum of Detroit Lakes, a son-in-law: Sam Hague of Cedar Rapids, IA, five grandchildren: Ryan (Amy) Wickum, Tyler Wickum, Jeremy (Alyssa) Hague, Rebecca Hague, Kelli Hague; two great-grandchildren: Linden and Carver Hague, a sister: Lael Bjella of Springfield, MO. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Diane Hague, her parents and a brother, James Dahl.
