Pauline Marie Moen was born June 19, 1943 to Samuel and Dorothy (Covel) Moen. She was raised and educated near Clarissa, MN graduating from Clarissa High School. On May 11, 1962 she was united in marriage to Lowell Anderson in Clarissa. For over 40 years they lived in Wadena raising their family. On November 29, 2006, Lowell passed away. In 2007, Pauline moved to Detroit Lakes to be closer to family. Pauline enjoyed traveling with her husband Lowell to various areas in the United States, which included Nashville, TN, South Dakota, Montana and she especially enjoyed her annual trips to Branson, Missouri. Pauline enjoyed reading her Nicolas Sparks novels, attending Bible study at church, cooking and baking. She always looked forward to family summer picnics and spending time with everyone during the holiday season. Pauline’s Christmas spirit always brought the true meaning of Christmas to her family. Every year she would decorate her home inside and out with lots of Christmas cheer and have trays of treats for her grandchildren to nibble on. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Pauline is survived by her children: Ricky (Karen) Anderson of Detroit Lakes, Susan (Hamilton) Werner of Baron, WI, Michael Anderson of Waubun, MN and Kari Anderson of White Bear Lake, MN. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren along with two sisters: Shirley (Neil) Pollard of Clarissa, MN and Brenda (Tim) Page of Henning, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell (2006) and one sister Marlys Peterson.
