Richard Kennedy

Richard Lloyd Kennedy was born January 5, 1947 in Madison, Wisconsin to Donald and Betty (Lund) Kennedy. He moved with his family to Frazee, MN where he attended school through the 4th grade. Thwey moved to Detroit Lakes where he graduated high school in 1965. Dick attended the Wadena Vocational School in 1966 and completed the Energy Technology course at the Detroit Lakes Vocational College in 1967. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1967 and served 3 tours of duty in Viet Nam. Following his discharge in 1970, he moved to Fargo, ND where he purchased a house and worked as a custodian at the Fargo Veterans Hospital until retiring in 1988. He continued to live in Fargo until moving to the Minnesota Veterans Home, May 31, 2013. Dick enjoyed time with his family, his pets, fishing and playing BINGO. Survivors include 2 brothers: Joe Kennedy of Mountain City, TN, Michael Molacek of Detroit Lakes, a niece, Christina Kennedy-Farr of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father: Betty and Joseph Molacek and his father, Donald Kennedy.
