Richard Kunz

Richard "Dick" Jacob Kunz, 85 resident of Callaway, MN, was reunited with his Heavenly Father and the love of his life, Lois, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Born February 20, 1928 to Martin Kunz and Agnes (Kahnke) Kunz, he spent his life on the family farm in Callaway. On May 14, 1953, he married his sweetheart, Lois Dalve, at Assumption Catholic Church in Callaway and they were blessed with eleven children. A family man in every sense, Richard loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, a hard worker with a playful spirit and quick wit. The morals, values, and life lessons he passed on to his family are, and will always be, a longstanding testament to his character. Richard is survived by his children Mary Jo (Mike) Fitzpatrick, Richard (Carolyn), Vanessa (Dave) Lahr, Ross (Bonnie), Christopher, Matthew (Aletha), Jayne (Jim) Courneya, Robert (Debbi), Gerard (Denise), Dominic (Marla), and Erin (Derek) Crompton, and his 43 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois, his parents, and siblings Marie, Lucille, Desmond, Damian, and Dolores.
