Robert L. Bonga, 50, rural Ogema, MN, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 5 at 11AM in the Old Pine Point School in Ponsford. Visitation will be Sunday, January 4 at the Old Pine Point School starting at 3PM and continuing until the time of services on Monday. Interment will be held at Breck Memorial Episcopal Cemetery in Ponsford. Robert Louis Bonga was born December 5, 1964 to Alfred Adams and Carol Bonga. After high school, Robert attended carpentry school. He worked for several years as a welder and carpenter until he became a Personal Care Assistant. On March 17, 2014 Robert was united in marriage to Judith Fineday in Detroit Lakes. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, leeching, harvesting wild rice and playing bingo. He also enjoyed going for drives around the countryside and an occasional trip to the casino. He always cherished time spent with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Judith of Ogema, son Benjamin Jones, step-son: George Fineday-Goodman, two brothers: Harvey Bonga of Ponsford and Dion (Tabitha) Bellanger of Moorhead, and two sisters: Nicole (Humberto) Bellanger of Jordan and Rebecca (Steve) Gotchie of Walker along with numerous close relatives. He is preceded in death by his mother Carol, one brother: Jerry Bellanger, special aunt: Mary Jane Butcher and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
