Ronald Bellanger Sr

Ronald Eugene Bellanger was born March 16, 1948 in White Earth, MN to William and Delia (Roy) Bellanger. After high school, Ron attended college in Moorhead and Bemidji State.   After college, Ron moved to Minneapolis and worked for a landscaping business. In the late 1970’s, he moved back to White Earth. He went on to work for Circle of Life School as a cook and continued to work there for the next 20 years. Ron later was employed with Shooting Star Casino, but because of ill health, he had to retire. On September 18, 1998, Ron was united in marriage to Rose Lenoir in Mahnomen, MN. Ron enjoyed boxing. He won three titles boxing out of Wadena, MN and earned credentials as a Golden Glove Boxer. He also enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, hunting and going for afternoon drives around the countryside. Ron will be remembered for his great sense of humor, often joking and teasing with friends and family, but all in good spirit.

He is survived by his wife; Rose of Waubun, MN, three sons Ronald (Lori) Bellanger Jr., Randy (Trish) Bellanger and Robbie Bellanger all of Naytahwash, MN along with nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Francis “Butch” (Jeanine) Bellanger of White Earth, MN, Gordon (Joyce) Bellanger of White Earth, Darrell (Delia) Bellanger of Waubun, MN, Olivia (Jerry) Simmons of Moorhead, MN, Betty (Jim) Tow of White Earth, Diane Madigen of Callaway, MN and Eleanor Carlson of Minneapolis, MN.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rhonda Bellanger, a granddaughter, Rhonda Jean and three brothers: Doug, Lawrence and Wayne.
