Ronald Gillund

Ronald Gene Gillund was born June 30, 1944 in Fargo, ND to Harvey and Ella (Brown) Gillund. He was raised in Fargo and is a 1962 graduate of Fargo Central High School and a 1967 graduate of the North Dakota State University School of Pharmacy. Ron was united in marriage to Kaye Gullekson in 1966 in Fargo. He worked as a pharmacist in Minot, MN, Crookston, MN, Bismarck, ND, Hastings, MN, Red Wing, MN, Duluth, MN and Salt Lake City, UT. He and Kaye later divorced. Upon retiring from the pharmacy, Ron moved to Detroit Lakes where he drove truck and was a sports photographer for Yary-White Sports Photography. Ron enjoyed time with his grandchildren, dancing, helping others, being involved with the Republican Party, and music. He was active in the Jaycees and served as a Jaycee I senator. Survivors include a son, Tony (Lee Ann) Gillund of Duluth, MN, a daughter, Alycia (Joe) Stringfield of Frazee, MN, 4 grandchildren: Jonah & Samantha Gillund, Jacob & Lindsay Stringfield, a brother, Jerry Gillund of Fargo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and a sister: Burnell "Bernie" and Betty Erickson.
