Sandra Dornbusch

Sandy Ann Dornbusch, 61, Detroit Lakes, MN. died Sunday, March 20, 201 at Essentia Health - St. Marys Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. Sandy was born February 19, 1955 in Perham, MN. Her parents were Blanche and Harry Dornbusch. She had three siblings: Sharon, Clifford and Susan. Sandy grew up around the Perham and Fergus Falls, MN. area. Sandy moved to Detroit Lakes on June 17, 1980 to her home located on Summit Ave. Through her many years at Lakes Homes, Sandy made many close bonds with the staff and other residents. She will be greatly missed. Sandy was employed by the Becker County DAC. She was named "Employee of the Month" several times while at the DAC. She loved holiday celebrations and her birthday because that meant friends, good food and cake. You could find her at the dining room table always ready to visit and have "orange pop and a donut". Clothes shopping and having her nails done was always a special day for her. She enjoyed her "Fairy Garden" in her back yard during the summer months. Services for Sandy will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the David-Donehower Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Paula Jones Officiating.
