Scott Adams

Scott W. “Curl” Adams, 27, Ponsford, MN died Saturday, July 4 from injuries received in an automobile accident near Ponsford. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 10 at the Pine Point Community Center in Ponsford, Mother Lisa Smith, officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 PM Thursday, July 9 until the time of the service on Friday at the community center in Ponsford.

Scott Wayne Adams was born November 15, 1980 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Gerald and Jacquelyne (Basswood) Adams. He attended school in Pine Point, Glyndon and Park rapids, MN. During his working life he was a cook at the Shooting Star Casino. Scott was united in marriage with Sarah Perrigo February 14, 2006 at White Earth, MN.   He enjoyed his family, playing Keno and playing games with his brothers.

Scott is survived by his children: Dayton James Adams of Ponsford and Trinity Buckanaga of Mahnomen; his step-children: Arthur Butcher and Merrie Butcher both of Ogema, MN. He is also survived by his mother, Jackie Adams of Ponsford and his father, Gerald (Lori) Adams of Ponsford; two brothers:  David (Gloria Hill) of Ponsford, Bruce (Tanya) Leonhardt of Ponsford; two sisters: Tiffany (Brandon Fineday) Adams of Ponsford and Kristine (Tom Busse) Adams of Ponsford; one step-brother and four step-sisters; his grandparents: Linda (Fred) Leonhardt, Georgianna Adams, and Albert “Mook” Basswood Jr. all of Ponsford; his foster father: Robert Meeks of Detroit Lakes, MN; seven aunties: Donna (Lenny) Smith, Carleen (Lyman Roberts) Fineday, Sandy Basswood, Brenda (Jessica Drew) Basswood, Sharon Basswood, Mary Ann Adams and Laura Chesley; five uncles: Mike and Wayne Chesley, Bruce Basswood, A.J. Basswood and Tommy Basswood; two nephews: David Adams, Jr. and Tom Busse, Jr.; four nieces: Brianna Fineday, Star Keezer, Terri Sue Arthur and Alexis Lerud; numerous great-aunts, uncles and cousins.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Anna and Albert Basswood, and Red Adams; great-great great grandmother, Daisy Mae Butcher.
